LIS 5526 TEACHING INFORMATION LITERACY
This report provides a critical evaluation of a webinar focused on data quality evaluation. I analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the three panelists who were invited to share their experiences and knowledge on this topic. Through a detailed description and analysis, I provide insights into the effectiveness of the webinar and offer suggestions for improvement.
LIS 6409 INTRODUCTION TO LIBRARY ADMINISTRATION
In this joint endeavor, my partner and I pinpointed a potential project within the Special Collections department of a public library. We formulated a comprehensive proposal aimed at resolving the challenges associated with preserving and providing access to two specific special collections. The proposal encompasses a thorough analysis of the problems and corresponding solutions, as well as the necessary resources, project collaborators, and evaluation methods to be employed upon project culmination. Additionally, a detailed budget and timeline have been incorporated into the proposal.
I.b. Students demonstrate effective communication skills.
LIS 6946 SUPERVISED FIELD WORK
In an article published in the Florida Libraries Journal, I recount my summer 2022 experience working at the Bienes Museum of the Modern Book in downtown Fort Lauderdale. LIS 6445 SEMINAR IN PUBLIC LIBRARIES
As part of my Seminar in Public Libraries course, I attended the Board of County Commissioners of Broward County in June 2022. In my paper, I describe my experience and reflect on the proceedings of the Board of County Commissioners.
I.d. Students demonstrate leadership skills and innovation in a diverse and global environment.
CO-CURRICULAR: UNIVERS CULTUREL DE SAINT-SULPICE
In June 2013, I participated in the celebrations of the 125th anniversary of the Canadian Pontifical College in Rome. The college was established by the Sulpicians in 1888 to provide a space for ecclesiastics seeking to further their education in Rome. During the occasion, my supervisor and I attended a conference held by the Canadian Pontifical College to discuss a collection of rare books that were sent to the Sulpicians in Montreal at the beginning of the 21st century. Upon my return, I created a Commemorative Journal that included some of the artifacts mentioned during the conference.
